K. Singh was retained by Galbraith Carnahan Architects, LLC to provide design engineering services for the new Co-Op Credit Union in Onalaska, Wisconsin.
The new credit union will be a one-story building with an approximate footprint of 4,200 square-feet. There will be a future expansion of 4,000 square-feet. K. Singh is responsible for the civil engineering, traffic engineering, stormwater management, and associated permitting.
K. Singh’s design for the site will include the plans for future expansion. The stormwater management plan, site utilities, and grading plan will all accommodate future expansion for the owner.
Unique aspects of the project include permitting for a pond within 500-feet of a named waterway resulting in intensive coordination with the WDNR. The other main challenge for this project was the design schedule. Civil and utility construction documents were planned for Bid Package #1. The total design time frame to meet the bidding schedule was three (3) weeks. K. Singh was able to meet this schedule with close client coordination and adding resources to meet the needs of the owner.
