K. Singh & Associates, Inc. (K. Singh) was retained by WisDOT as a part of a consulting design team for the IH 39/90 interstate expansion project in Rock County.
K. Singh staff provided preliminary and final design engineering including PS&E on project ID 1003-10-01. Roadway design engineering services consisted of developing plans for the reconstruction of 1-mile of approach roadways on Hart and Woodman Roads. Final plans specifications and estimate (two PS&Es) were completed for both roadway-bridge projects and are ready for letting by WisDOT.
The roadway plans included significant profile raising to accommodate vertical clearances over IH 39/90 and to meet design standards for the overpass roadways. Right of way acquisition, reconstruction of driveways, drainage culverts, and public involvement were key design challenges. K. Singh also prepared extensive, detailed traffic control plans to allow for construction of the two bridges while maintaining traffic on IH 39/90.
K. Singh completed preliminary and final structural design of bridges B-53-319 & B-53-312 as well as preliminary design for a 200-foot long two cell reinforced concrete box culvert with a clear span of 12-feet and a clear height of seven-feet.
K. Singh was responsible for all aspects of the design and PS&E packages for this project. In addition to these two Bridge PS&Es, KSingh staff also worked on mainline interstate design, interchange design, and diverging diamond interchange design
