KSingh was hired by the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and a prime consultant to provide construction management services for two lift bridges in the City of Milwaukee.
The West Wisconsin Avenue Bridge project consisted of rehabilitating the structure and associated controls house. This included replacing the steel bridge deck grating, updating the mechanicals for the lift equipment, and improving amenities within the control house.
The Juneau Avenue Lift Bridge project was a complete replacement of the structure and controls house. This project required significant effort associated with the installation of a new bridge deck, mechanicals, and controls tower.
KSingh staff were involved on every aspect of the project. One staff member was responsible for all of the materials on the project including documenting and reporting the usage of materials made in America.
Both projects were design/build and received funding from the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery, or TIGER Discretionary Grant program, sponsored by the United States Government. The Wisconsin Avenue Bridge won award from ACEC
