KSingh was retained to provide master planning services for future developments at the Milwaukee County Zoo. This included the design of new access to parking, new facility exhibits, and miscellaneous other features. The proposed site required improvements to sanitary and water lines, a traffic impact analysis, and complex construction cost estimates.
After the feasibility study was completed, KSingh was retained to provide structural engineering design services for several 1-story timber buildings.
Nick Decent, MS, EIT, led this effort and was the primary designer. Senior oversight and quality assurance reviews were provided by Michael Blodgett, PE. Robert Reineke, PE provided geotechnical engineering services for the project.
The design was completed in AutoCAD Revit to ensure the models from the various consultants were all able to be integrated into the Architects model. This resulted in dynamic changes during the design stages of the project. This type of Revit effort can be utilized on our next City of Milwaukee building or bridge design.
