KSingh was retained by WisDOT to lead the construction management of seven miles of roadway resurfacing, bridge rehabilitation, box culverts construction, and intersection improvement in Green Lake County on STH23. The project also included a multi-use path in conjunction with the roadway project. The path runs 1400 LF parallel to Hwy 23 and joins the existing path to the West and stubs out for future expansion to the East.
The typical section of the path consists of 3.5″ thick HMA pavement, 10′ wide over 8″ of base aggregate dense 1 1/4-inch. A 3′ lateral clearance was ensured throughout the path and tied into adjacent slopes that varied from 3:1 to 10:1.
The project also involved rehabilitation of a four span bridge and a box culvert on STH 23 in Green Lake.
Inspection staff oversaw grading and paving operations; as well as verifying material documentation and providing quality verification sampling. Additional duties included assisting contractor with surveying and making field adjustments to plan alignment.
