KSingh was retained by the City of Janesville and WisDOT for the design of the replacement of the Sharon Road Bridge over Spring Brook Creek. The existing structure was a structurally deficient eight-cell box culvert that was experiencing widespread cracking and significant concrete spalling. KSingh’s design replaced the existing eight-cell box culvert with a 2-span, haunched-slab bridge. This design alternative was the most cost-effective and maintained the required freeboard and navigational clearance.
