KSingh & Associates partners with MFF to Present Cairo Drive

KSingh & Associates, Inc. is proud to be a Community Partner with the Milwaukee Film Festival (September 25, 2014 to October 9, 2014) to present the film CAIRO DRIVE. (See below for details).

CAIRO DRIVE will screen at 4:30 pm on September 30, 2014 at the Fox Bay Cinema and at 9:45 pm on October 4, 2014 at the Oriental Theater. We would like to alert all our friends and colleagues to this film and encourage them to attend as it involves many of the issues that are dealt with every day in the civil engineering profession. Please feel free to contact us or Milwaukee Film if you have any questions about the film or wish to purchase tickets.

Taking the notion of a “street-level view” quite literally, “Cairo Drive” immerses us in the knotty traffic and issues of Egypt from 2009-2012 (a span that takes us before the uprising and concludes with the most recent presidential elections), capturing the frustrations, humor, and fatalism with which 20 million people take to the streets of Cairo every day. Following vehicles and people from all walks of life in all different shapes and sizes (taxis, buses, motorcycles, donkey carts), we see the hairpin decision-making and near-miraculous timing involved in navigating both sweeping historical changes as well as densely populated city streets.
